Step 1) Pre-admission
A preliminary assessment of the applicant's preparation is required. If you hold an Italian high school diploma, then go to step 2: the preliminary evaluation will be conducted at a later stage, during the enrollment phase. If, instead, you do not hold an Italian high school diploma, then create a new account/login to the Student Portal GOMP and submit your application through the "Pre-admission International Students" Section. The following documents must be provided:
high school transcript;
curriculum vitae;
motivation letter;
certificate of proficiency in English;
current (valid) passport or identity card.
After uploading the documents, you will be invited to pay a 15€ fee to complete the application. Early application is strongly encouraged in view of the required paperwork. You will be notified by email about the outcome of the application.
Step 2)
Our selection committee will evaluate applications according to specific admission criteria. The criteria are based on the following minimum requirements: English Certificate (B2 or equivalent is required); overall high school grade point average (minimum requirement: 70%) with an emphasis on math, the grade of which must not be less than 70%. In addition, a high school diploma or a bachelor older than 5 years will not be considered. Note that you have to have reached the age of majority (18) when you reach Cassino.
As far as the following countries, the following certificates are mandatory:
Ethiopia
Ethiopian University Entrance Examination Certificate
Detailed transcripts of the last two years
India, Pakistan, Bangladesh
Any Board of Higher Secondary Education Certificate
Transcripts of years 11-12 of high school
West African Countries
West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)
Detailed Transcripts of the last two years of high school
Kenya
Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education
Detailed Transcripts of the last two years
Depending on the time of the year, and the amount of requests received, this step could last up to 30 days. The Committee decision will be sent by email to the address indicated at the time of the application.
Step 3)
If you have been pre-admitted, or if you hold an Italian high school diploma, check if you need a Student VISA. If you do not need it, then go to step 4. Otherwise, fill in the "pre-enrolment application" at UniversItaly (the official web portal of the Italian Ministry of University and Research for international students); detailed information on the procedure is available here. Be aware that the application for the forthcoming academic year will be available only as of the end of March: do not apply for the wrong academic year.
Step 4)
Once our administration has approved your application on Universitaly, Italian Embassies will be able to verify that you have been admitted to our program, without further communications
Step 5)
The Embassy will evaluate your request and release the visa.
Step 6) Enrollment
If your VISA has been granted, or if you do not require a VISA, come to UNICAS and proceed with the enrollment.
Detailed information for steps 3 and 4 is available here and will be sent to pre-admitted candidates.
